Behind Nic Watt’s food is a simple philosophy: a passion for flavour and dedication to detail. After working at some of the most highly acclaimed restaurants around the world, Watt opened MASU in 2013, a contemporary Japanese restaurant and bar. His passion for food is evident in everything he creates – enhancing the natural elements and transforming ingredients into sensational culinary delights.
Cameron Douglas is New Zealand’s first and only Master Sommelier. He earned the title in 2007 after achieving top marks in the Masters’ exam – one of the most difficult wine tests in the world. Fewer than 300 people have attained this qualification since the first exam in 1969. As a Master Sommelier, Douglas is able to offer expert opinion on any beverage from wine to water, spirits to beer, and sake to Moutai.
